Ken helped me sell my elderly mother's home in Walnut Creek. She is from the old country so she kept everything she ever owned over her adult lifetime and I was tasked to clear it all out and then prep the home for sale. Ken helped me sell my elderly mother's home in Walnut Creek. She is from the old country so she kept everything she ever owned over her adult lifetime and I was tasked to clear it all out and then prep the home for sale. This was not easy for me to do as I live 30 miles away, run a business, raise two busy teenagers and also care for my elderly mother. From the moment I met with Ken, he assessed the home and had some ideas in his mind on what could be done to improve the property and then said, "Let us know how we can help!". I was not really sure what he meant by that, but he showed me that he was willing to help with any and all of it. Along with his business partner, he methodically and carefully moved all pieces of furniture from the top floor down, cleared out items and separated them as trash, recycling, donations, and for sale. He sold what he could, donated what was still useful, gave away the remainder and then called me every so often to arrange for bulky pick up of trash and recycling. He was able to clear away the vast majority of items using this method which was very cost effective. Every step of the way, things were handled with care and the home always looked so clean and the items neatly stacked and/or organized. Once the home was cleared out, Ken quickly got to gathering estimates for repairs and updates that we agreed upon. He has ready resources that he trusts that were also willing to work as hard as Ken and offer competitive pricing. Much of the repairs and upgrades were done over the busy holiday season and Ken was on it and accessible throughout the entire period of time to ensure all things went smoothly and that everything was completed on time. In fact, his vendors were so efficient, the projects finished ahead of schedule and we were able to put the house up on the market sooner than expected. Now in the actual sale of the property, Ken was able to negotiate with/guide the buying agent in presenting us an excellent offer. Things were awkward once we were in contract in the sense that the buying agent was new to her profession and was not clear in her communication or behavior. However, Ken remained in continual communication with me and had thoughtful options should the buyer and agent back out of our deal. Luckily this did not happen and we closed on an all cash offer within 11 days! I would not hesitate to recommend Ken to family and friends. He is incredibly dedicated, works hard for his clients, is incredibly thorough, is a fantastic communicator and has a great read on people. Five star service from beginning to end.
