Alamo

Alamo is a small community of approximately 15,000 people, tucked in between Walnut Creek and Danville, along I-680 just south of Hwy 24. It is unincorporated, so jurisdiction falls under Contra Costa County. The median home price in 2021 was $2,450,000, while the median square footage of homes sold in 2021 was 3363 sq. ft. On the west side of I-680 is downtown Alamo, centered around the Alamo Plaza Shopping Center, along with other shops and cafes along Danville Blvd. The Iron Horse Trail winds through Westside Alamo as well. BART doesn’t run along I-680, so the closest BART station is in downtown Walnut Creek. Along Danville Blvd are a few lower cost condo complexes. The Westside of Alamo tends to feature older homes.
